1889: A man flees through the Negev Desert but finds no escape. His pursuers, men of the church,
catch him and murder him.

In present-day Munich, an expert on the Bible who has been conducting
research on Holy Scriptures dies under mysterious circumstances.

His daughter Johanna, a young policewoman, discovers that he has left behind a manuscript containing mysterious prophecies of doom. When these predictions start coming true, Johanna – with the help of Simon, an expert on religious texts – begins to follow a series of mystifying clues.

She finally discovers the secret her father had stumbled across: he was attempting to decipher a secret code, concealed thousands of years ago in the books of the Bible, warning mankind about the future threats posed by the forces of darkness…

Their attempts to decipher the Bible Code lead Joanna and Simon first to Israel and then to France… directly into the hands of their enemies.

It’s a shadowy religious order that has been attempting for centuries to gain control of the Vatican so it can dominate the human race. It was this group of evil fanatics that killed both Johanna's father and the man in the desert a century ago.

Looking for a weapon to stop them, Simon and Joanna discover that there is also an immensely powerful key to the code – a star disc, thousands of years old – that can provide the means to defeat their enemies.

A harrowing race begins, with the fate of the entire world hanging in the balance. Although lost for over a century, Johanna and Simon frantically take every risk to find the ancient key…
