Miss Texas

After living in the confines of a big city for years, an adventurous European girl discovers the wide-open Texas range and finally finds out what she really wants in life.

Katharina Fahlke is a talented photojournalist. Her next assignment: a story on cowboys in Texas. The minute she sets her feet on Texas soil, she’s amazed by the breathtaking scenery. Having just arrived at the ranch, she can’t wait to start working. The conservative Texas high society is puzzled: why does this adventurous European prefer the company of cowboys instead of dinner parties?

Katharina is handed over to the macho head cowboy Greg, who is far from thrilled. Being a cowboy is dirty, rough and dangerous work, and women just aint got no place on the range! It’s men’s work! Katharina wants to prove that she is as tough as the cowboys and not a little girl from the big city. No wonder that the confident urban girl and the stubborn cowboy clash. When Katharina doesn’t pay attention to Greg’s warnings, and she gets bitten by a snake and almost drowns in a river, Greg’s opinion is confirmed.

In spite of their huge differences, or maybe because of them, they wind up falling heavily in love – so heavily, in fact, that Katharina decides to give up Germany, her family, friends, job and fiancé, all for a life on the wide-open range. What begins as a new adventure, quickly becomes a test of her faith in the American Dream as her new life and love have a difficult time staying in the saddle…
