Markus Winter is sent incognito to Mauritius, where the experienced hotel manager is charged with determining whether Tina Berger is up to the task of managing the renowned luxury resort “Dina Robin”.

Actually, Tina is very capable and just the right person for the job – she has risen through the ranks from a simple maid to Superintendent of Services and knows the fabulous hotel inside and out. It’s just that at the moment, the combined burdens of holding down her job, being a mother and dealing with her unreliable boyfriend Klaus are stressing her out.

Tina has gotten wind that her skills are to be tested, but unfortunately she believes Father Stefan, the easy-going sweepstakes winner, to be the spy and does everything in her power to make his vacation perfect.

For Markus, on the other hand, everything that can go wrong does: he misses the transfer to the hotel and his accommodation turns out to be a broom closet. He is even mistaken for an employee and instructed to clean the swimming pool. At first, the demanding hotel manager has reason enough to doubt Tina’s abilities.

But instead, Markus remains focused on her strengths: she is always in control of the situation and even under the heaviest workload she still finds time to produce a luxurious breakfast for him– even though, as far as she knows, he is just an ordinary guest. Markus feels more and more attracted to the impulsive woman and Tina in turn falls in love with the very charming “Mr. Maier”.

However, when she finds out who she is really dealing with, not even the enchanting setting and the starlit sky over Mauritius can soothe her anger…
