On a vacation, the 17 year old Joe has a brief, erotic encounter with a considerably older woman. Short as it may have been, he can’t get her out of his mind, so he again seeks her out. She and Joe couldn’t be more different: Rosemarie is a simple mailwoman, whose path in life is set.

For Joe, on the other hand, his tremendously gifted intellect points to a bright and successful future. This first sexual awakening develops into a full-blown affair, albeit an unconventional… and secret love.
