The luxury hotel chain owner Dorothee and her nephew, hotel manager Markus, travel to Mexico on a search for fancy artwork for their various hotels. Barely after landing, Dorothee runs into an old flame from her teenage days, the Mexico expert Julian, and suddenly finds herself caught off guard by old emotions.

After arriving at the Grand Hotel in Yucatan, Markus is asked to jump in and run the luxury hotel while the hotel director is out sick. Having no time for art exhibitions, Markus must not only deal with his aunt’s sudden “distraction” but also Joshi, the son of hotel guest Matthias, who’s giving him cause for worry. The little boy had suddenly stopped talking the day his mother left her husband and family for a new love. Determined to help the boy, Markus invites him to take a swim with nearby dolphins.

While Markus is busy running the luxury hotel and helping Joshi, Matthias is introduced to the lovely actress Norma Wood and the future for Joshi’s family again seems bright.

Meanwhile, others in the hotel are having their share of problems. The front desk manager Charles is jealous of Markus, who must now work together with his girlfriend, the secretary Esmeralda. To make matters even more chaotic, Markus’ teenage daughter and her mother soon arrive in Mexico…
