Archeologist Professor Omari returns from an excavation in his homeland and discovers an ancient amulet during his examination of a mummy. After cataloguing the rare find, he turns the jewelry over to his country’s ambassador. But instead of proclaiming this historic find publicly, the ambassador keeps the treasure and denies ever having received it. Proclaimed a liar and a thief, Omari not only loses his job but is also charged with a crime. This is a case for Max, aka “The Fox”, and his team.

Immediately after Max begins his investigation, Omari is kidnapped in broad daylight. The only witness to the kidnapping is Mrs. Omari, a German, who recognized one of the kidnappers as being an assistant to the ambassador.

All clues lead to a devious plan to have Omari taken from Germany and brought back to his homeland to be prosecuted.
The country is incensed at the amulet’s theft and the ambassador needs to remove the taint from his reputation, so he sets up Omari as a black sheep to be blamed for the theft in order to calm the country’s outrage.

It is an almost impossible undertaking for Max. He must free Omari from the embassy where he is being held, and at the same time recover the amulet in order to expose the ambassador’s crime.

However, Fox & Team are in luck. A “Grand Welcoming Event” is about to be held at the embassy in honor of the new ambassador, who will be replacing the current one. Max is able to learn, using various clever tricks, exactly where Omari is being held – just as the planning for the big event begins

Posing as a performance act, Fox & Team gain entrance to the event. With brilliant strategy, Max is able to lure the ambassador and his accomplices into their net, clear Omari’s name and also recover the stolen amulet.

In shrewd fashion, Max succeeds in bringing yet another case to its exciting conclusion, with the ambassador’s wrongdoing exposed to everyone…
