This cop has always been a loner, one who has no problem using the most unconventional methods to catch crooks – but there’s no way his new partner is going to let him walk all over her.

Investigator Kozack is not one to do his job by the book, which is why the cool cop is facing suspension. He’s got a choice: if he wants to keep his job he’s got to work with federal officer Mia von Weitersdorf. The attractive policewoman scoffs at his methods and his devil-may-care attitude and won’t let Kozack out of her sight. Of course, he would like to attribute her attention to his boyish charm, but Mia, the daughter of a shady, immensely rich and elite lawyer, is quick to put him in his place with her keen wit.

Thoroughly annoyed, he quickly realizes he’s got no choice but to accept Mia as an equal. To make matters worse, although he is strongly attracted to his partner, she remains utterly resistant to his charms.

As unlikely a team as they are, when it comes to dealing with gangsters, drug dealers and other assorted lowlifes, the potent pair must depend on each other to survive in the big city’s dangerous underworld.
