In many ways, 11 year-old Tim is the same as all boys his age: Nothing excites him more than exploring myths, dinosaurs and legends.
What does make life different is that because his father died before he was born, he’s spent much of his time alone.
Being the man of the house, Tim has always felt that it was his responsibility to care for his mother and grandmother, which both delights and worries his mother.
One day, Tim’s life changes completely: As he surfs the Internet, researching a newly reported sighting of the famous Loch Ness Monster, he discovers a photo of a researcher living in Scotland – who looks exactly like his dead father! Overcome with excitement, Tim is immediately compelled to find out the truth… without needlessly worrying his mother.
So Tim sneaks off and with the help of some clever manoeuvring, manages to make his way to Inverness, the renowned Scottish village on the banks of the legendary Loch Ness.
What awaits Tim in Inverness surpasses even his boldest expectations...
His many exciting adventures lead him not only to his true father, but also a delightful, 600 year-old Druid named Oki.
The ancient priest reveals to Tim the long-lost secret of Loch Ness, but this is just the beginning of his extraordinary journey.
He makes the acquaintance of the magician Merlin and also gets to meet the famous Nessie.
As magical as it has all been, when crooks kidnap his parents to get their hands on the fabled Philosopher’s Stone, Tim discovers that it is he that holds the greatest secret of all…
