High Society Murder IV

When the deli king and infamous jet-set womanizer Hans-Georg Fischer is found dead in his pool, the psychiatrist Dr. Wendelin Winter is responsible for counselling Fischer’s widow.









But although the police believe that an overdose of cocaine killed him, Winter suspects that there is more behind it. His suspicions are confirmed when an autopsy reveals that a deadly dose of rat poison was obviously mixed with the cocaine...







The search for the murderer proves to be extremely difficult, because Fischer was an arrogant cynic who had made a lot of enemies. He despised his wife, even though she had been the driving force behind his success. Because of that unjust treatment, his brother-in-law fiercely hated him.






Even Ariane, with whom he had been having an affair, had been a target of his cruelty. Her manic-depressive ex-boyfriend is also a suspect because he had been harboring a strong grudge at losing Ariane to the notorious womanizer.

Also, could the shy florist who regularly delivered flowers to the Fischers have had a motive?

The investigation becomes more problematic when the sleazy gossip reporter Jacki goes public with a sensational story – including an incriminating photo – of Fischer’s adultery. He uses Winter’s daughter Alexandra, who is an intern at his newspaper, to get inside information.








Then, Alexandra discovers yet another corpse during her own research into the case… and the florist narrowly escapes a murder attempt. Finally, Winter begins to piece together the puzzle – it was apparently not only flowers that the florist had been delivering…
