Agnes leads a happy and peaceful life with her husband Leo, who is 13 years her junior. The childless couple own and run a thriving jewelry business and have not a care in the world – until the one day that Agnes learns that she is suffering from an advanced lung cancer that will soon take her life. 
Devastated by the shocking diagnosis and unwilling to endure horrific pain, her thoughts immediately turn to suicide. On the same day that Agnes receives the shattering news Leo presents her a gift – a lucky charm.
Because of Leo’s hope and support, she does not have the heart to tell him that her greatest fear is not her fatal illness but her tormenting anguish over what will happen to him once she is gone. Unselfishly, she secretly devises a plan to help him find a suitable wife who could care for him.
