Markus Winter is on his way to Malaysia to comfort his good friend Jennifer, who has recently lost her husband and must now take care of her seven-year-old son and her little hotel all by herself.
Making Jennifer’s situation even more tense is the fear that a clause in her lease could result in the loss of the hotel and therefore her home as well.
In the meantime, Markus’ old friend Lorenz and his assistant Sonja check in.
When Sonja discovers that a much-needed community center is to be torn down to make way for one of Lorenz’ construction projects, she quits. Hopefully, the successful manager will realize she was far more than merely his assistant.
