But when his future father-in-law Maximilian assigns him to represent a married couple in court concerning a child custody case, his perfect yuppie life is thrown completely into turmoil.
After Kai takes on Marco and his new wife as clients, he meets Marco’s attractive ex-wife Johanna, who is now forced to care for herself and her 14 year-old daughter Luzie alone. Despite juggling many jobs at the same time, she always runs out of money and is never able to afford anything besides the basic necessities.
Now that Marco has married the rich Doris, he wants to get custody of Luzie. Luzie wants to drop out of school and become a singer, a plan her father and his new wife both support.
Johanna though, is utterly against it and she fights like a lioness to prevent it.
Even though Kai is engaged to the adorable Benita, he’s found Johanna irresistible since the moment they first met.
Johanna also feels attracted to Kai but still thinks he’s spoiled and arrogant. The combination of strong personalities and hidden tensions make for an explosive mixture in the courtroom…
