The young, dynamic Nina Hedler works for a publishing house where she is passionately preparing the educational “Dino Project”. When she learns her company is being taken over by a rival firm, she’s frightened by the probability that she’ll lose her job. 
While drowning their sorrows at a bar, her roommate Babette comes up with a “brilliant” plan – Nina should simply pretend to be pregnant, at least until her project is completed.
Nina is horrified by the idea… if there’s one thing she won’t do, it’s lie. Suddenly an attractive man appears beside her at the bar – Dominik. 
Before the night is over, they’ve swapped phone numbers. The next morning, a hung-over Nina finds her work colleagues in a gloomy mood. During a meeting with her nasty boss Ms Schulte-Westenberg, she suddenly has to vomit…and without having planned it, her fake pregnancy is on.
Now she must play the part, but it’s not easy. Where can she get a fake “baby belly” or a doctor’s certification? The biggest dilemma is still to come – Nina discovers that her new boss is none other than Dominik.
And so begins Nina’s double life: pregnant in the office under Ms Schulte-Westenberg’s suspicious gaze, then carefree with Dominik...

Everything is moving smoothly until Dominik decides the “Dino Project” should be presented at an upcoming trade fair, and he can’t wait to meet the clever colleague behind the project.
Nina’s charade looks like it’s about to hit a brick wall… the situation couldn’t get any worse! In the end, Nina manages to keep Dominik away from the trade fair. Her presentation is hugely successful, but then Dominik suddenly shows up – and sees Nina wearing her “baby belly”.
Nina is forced to tell Dominik the truth. Devastated by his belief that Nina simply used him in order to further her own project, he leaves the hall.
Meanwhile, her presentation has impressed the head office of her publishing house and they offer Nina a position in Frankfurt, which for her is a dream come true. But suddenly she’s uncertain… is it what she really wants? Will Dominik ever forgive her? Will she ever see him again?
