Claudia, her boyfriend Thomas and her nine year-old son from a previous marriage are on their way to Greece for a family vacation. During the bus ride to their hotel, Timmy’s football rolls to the back of the bus. A mysterious man picks it up, and - unnoticed by Claudia and Thomas - starts a quick chat with the boy.
That same day, a festive wedding is taking place in the hotel restaurant. There, Thomas runs into an old acquaintance from Germany, Magdalena. Later that night Thomas and Claudia have a heated argument, after which Thomas goes back to the hotel restaurant alone. Just before Claudia goes to sleep, she sees Thomas and Magdalena sitting in the restaurant having a lively conversation.
But the next morning Thomas is nowhere to be found. Claudia anxiously searches everywhere, and even Magdalena hasn’t the slightest clue why he had so suddenly disappeared.
Back in the hotel, Claudia finds a handwritten farewell note from Thomas, saying that he’s already paid the hotel bill and organized her trip back home. 
But when Claudia finds her boyfriend’s wallet and his mobile phone in the hotel room, she immediately goes to the police, who unfortunately do not take her seriously. In her despair, Claudia heads to the German consulate, but along the way a sniper shoots out one of her tires. Forced to stop at the next gas station, it not only finally dawns on her how grave a danger they face, but as well, who is surely behind it.
She’s convinced that Thomas has been kidnapped by her ex-husband Gabriel, a dangerous felon whose uncontrollable jealousy has already landed him in jail for assault and battery…
