The news about the new nursery teacher spreads quickly through the village. People don’t know anything about her, only her name - Johanna. She seems to be nice and friendly but still she is a stranger there, an annoying outsider that asks too many questions for her own good.
Johanna wants to know everything about the “old times”, especially about a death that ocurred in the village many years ago. She quickly realizes that the suspicious villagers are mysteriously unwilling to talk about certain events of the past.
Johanna stubbornly presses on. Sexy and charming, one by one she brings the men of the village to reveal their secrets… about the tunnel that used to run underneath the border from east to west, about the smuggling of antiques from the east and about the murder of a man who was against it. It was Johanna’s father who had tried to stop the trade and report the smugglers but instead paid for his noble efforts with his life.
But the hatred of the villagers didn’t stop there. Johanna’s mother was thrown into prison after her dead husband was declared a “communist defector”. Separated from her mother, Johanna had then lost her entire family.
Step by step, Johanna pieces the puzzle together. But the game that Johanna plays is deadly serious, alone in a village that will do anything to protect its dark past… and even her blossoming affair with the village policeman will hardly protect her.
