Zone City

Each week the detectives in “Zone City” work on a new case. Varying from the serial killer looking for revenge, a sexual crime in a hotel to the murder of African refugees. The detectives are not just determined to catch the culprit. They are also trying to find out why the crime was committed and which personal tragedy is at the heart of these hideous crimes. “Zone City” is more than just another action series.



It is also a psychological study of humans, often monsters, who live on the edge of society. 41-years-old and ice-cold, Detective Tom Segers is a workaholic, but one who rapidly reaches his boiling point. He demands that things be done his way. Despite his somewhat sullen and introverted personality, he does have some warmth in his heart and a very strong sense of justice.




It is action that really ignites his passion, especially when it comes to chasing down culprits at dizzying speeds. Having gone through an emotionally wrenching divorce, Tom is extremely cautious when it comes to serious relationships.








Teaming up with Seger as both close friend and partner is the 27-year-old detective Fien Bosvoorde. Fien followed the family tradition and became a cop, although she also boasts a college degree in law and criminology. Far from a lightweight, she can hold her own in even the most extremely dangerous situations. But being young and still somewhat naive, she is not yet sure what she wants, and sometimes falls victim to self-doubts.Witty and curious, Fien would like nothing more than to fall in love.

Only 37-years-old, Dani Wauters is the Chief Superintendent. Smart, exuding authority and keen on order, her team is always her top priority. But being the boss can be lonely, and she does miss the camaraderie of the old days when she was just a detective.








Still a single woman, she is continually frustrated in her attempts win over her one true love – the elusive Tom Segers. But never one to show weakness, Dani succeeds in keeping up an outwardly confident appearance that is aided by her extreme dedication to her job.
