Audiences simply love homemade video clips that just happen to capture the most hilarious moments.
With its light-hearted but fast pace, Clip Charts keeps viewers glued to the screen with one funny clip after another. Hosted by an animated Ice Bear called Eddie Cool, the show does a daily countdown of the country’s 20 funniest and most recent clips.
Scenes such as Grandma singing in front of the mirror…or when Dad grabs the shampoo bottle just to discover that his kids have filled it with honey, and even the entertaining but involuntary demonstration of the best man ripping down whole wedding party by holding on to the table cloth and mother-in-law’s wig coming loose - can’t stop the laughter from coming.
The show’s viewers are asked to make tapes of hilarious moments they’ve captured and submit them to the show via Internet, mobile phone or by mail. Anyone that submits either a self-made or otherwise attained clip that airs on Clip Charts receives 100 Euros. For the funniest clip taking the top honour among the best five, the prize skyrockets to 1000 Euros.
The judging is in the hands of the viewers, who submit their votes by calling the show, sending in a text message, or visiting the show’s web site. In this way, the top 5 clips are chosen for the next show, and the viewers also have the possibility of winning a 500 Euro prize themselves.
