Who Rocks the Party?

They bring weddings to life and add fire to the wildest parties – and some of them even earn a decent living with their gigs. For most of the cover bands making the circuit, it is all about having fun and playing music. Still, the dream of a major career breakthrough and the chance to perform on TV and at huge festivals for thousands of screaming fans is 1 that they all share.




Here, finally, is their chance – the competition for the best cover band!

First, the bands have to face a jury consisting of 3 judges who are industry professionals. From a large number of applications, they narrow the field down to the best 15 bands. These ambitious musicians then have the chance to prove that they are the best cover band in their country.



In each episode, the bands must endure a “Reality Check”, in which they are only notified of their next gig 30 minutes before they must actually perform. Will they be up to the challenge? Will they have the nerves to overcome the intense pressure and successfully rock out an audience of 10,000 people?






Also, they have to pass the “Live Check” in every episode. Here, each band has a week’s time to prepare a specially themed performance, such as “Rock Classics” or “Latest Hits” – and can only hope that they can bring the jury and the studio audience to their feet!







In the “Shoot Out” at the end of each show, the jury picks the 2 least-convincing bands and eliminates one.

In the final show, the 3 remaining bands must prepare 3 medleys for 3 different musical themes, such as “Weddings”, “City Party” or “Unplugged”.






After this difficult challenge 1 band is eliminated, while the last 2 hopeful groups go into a final and decisive “Shootout” round. The winners will support a famous band at a big live gig, as well as walk away with a cool € 10,000 in their pockets!
